I just finished watching Stanley Kubrick's cosmic ballet that is 2001 a Space Odyssey. I could not help letting my mind drift to my trip to Israel. 48 hrs until I am on my way. How will my mind expand in those ten days? How will I change as a person during that time as well? New foods, new culture, close quarters with old friends — all of these things as well things that I am not aware. All of them will inevitably change me, I hope for the better. One thing is for certain, I will not return that same person I was before I left. I am very excited for the trip. As I wrote in the Top 5 Reasons I want to visit Israel. Beyond those reasons, I am excited to see my friend who has already be in country for a week. She is an incredible inspiration to myself and our entire staff. And she knows me well enough to force me to experience things I might otherwise try to avoid(like some of the food) Tel Aviv, Arad, Masada and Jerusalem are the major locations. It boggles my mind the history both ancient and modern in the country. I am ready for my 2015 Israel Odyssey.
